The House Call
To welcome the groomer into one's home is to spare a companion the carrier, the waiting room, and the noise of the salon. Each appointment is given wholly to a single pet: bathed in the familiar kitchen sink, dried and finished on the countertop, attended from first brushstroke to last.
The tools arrive in a single case. The work concludes as quietly as it began — the sink rinsed, the towel folded, a fresh coat gleaming. All that remains is the ritual itself, kept every four weeks, in the comfort of the place your companion knows best.
